Worley (ASX:WOR) said it is appealing a recent Australian Federal Court decision to uphold a shareholder class action lawsuit related to financial guidance, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The court previously ruled that the company misled investors when it issued 2013 earnings guidance.

Worley said it has a responsive insurance program, and its legal defense is largely funded by insurers.

The company's shares fell 8% in recent Thursday trade.
