Guardian Pharmacy Services named a chief operating officer and a new chief financial officer, with both appointments set to take effect July 1.
The long-term-care pharmacy-services company said Monday that David Morris, currently executive vice president and CFO, would assume the role of chief operating officer when Kendall Forbes retires from his role as executive vice president of sales and operations.
Morris and Forbes have held their current roles since Guardian's founding in 2004.
Morris, one of the company's co-founders, was previously CFO at Central Pharmacy. He also held prior positions at Complete Health and Ernst & Young.
Forbes has agreed to continue as an employee of the company from July 1 through Aug. 31 to assist with the transition, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
In connection with Morris's new role, Guardian named Will Mudd as its next CFO. Mudd has been the company's senior vice president, finance, since 2012, overseeing financial accounting and reporting, revenue-cycle management and human resources. Prior to joining Guardian, Mudd worked with the audit services group at Grant Thornton.
