Pfizer's chief financial officer, Dave Denton, is leaving the drugmaker to take another post in the consumer-goods industry.

Pfizer on Thursday said Denton, who joined the New York company as finance chief in May 2022, will step down from the post on Aug. 15.

Pfizer said it plans to conduct an internal and external search for a new chief financial officer, adding that Cecile Guegan, currently senior vice president of finance for its global biopharmaceutical business, will step in as interim finance chief on Aug. 16.
