Data from Artificial Analysis on the intelligence of large language models places Zhipu AI in the top three globally, a first for a Chinese company, according to Jefferies. That said, leadership in the large language model field also tends to change quickly, Jefferies says. "Zhipu still faces shortage of high-end inference compute that could hamper its ability to meet enterprise demand, especially for long-context agentic workloads that consume much more compute," the analysts say.
