2318 GMT - There's a silver lining to the headwinds that have buffeted Flight Centre late in FY26, says Macquarie. It views travel as being more resilient than other discretionary purchases, which are being challenged by rising interest rates and other cost-of-living pressures. Macquarie expects leisure activity will rebound sharply in the wake of the U.S.-Iran peace deal, helped by lower fuel prices and airfares. It notes the Australian government has lowered its travel advice for Bahrain, Israel, Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE from "Do Not Travel" to "Reconsider your need to travel." "Finally, the softer finish to FY26 should set up easier override targets in FY27," Macquarie says. It retains an "outperform" call on Flight Centre. (david.winning@wsj.com; @dwinningWSJ)
