1144 GMT - The Bank of England probably won't need to raise interest rates this year, Premier Miton Monthly Income Fund's Emma Mogford says after the central bank left rates at 3.75% Thursday. "Higher prices later this year, triggered by the Iran war, are likely to be offset by lower demand and only moderate expectations for wage growth given the relatively soft labor market," she says. The BOE voted 7-2 in favor of its decision, with two policymakers preferring to raise rates by 25 basis points. (renae.dyer@wsj.com)
