Boots' Incoming CEO's Track Record Could Create Investor Buzz if IPO Pursued -- Market Talk

1130 GMT - An initial public offering of Boots looks more likely after Australia's Sigma Healthcare withdrew its interest in buying the healthcare and beauty chain, AJ Bell's Russ Mould writes. He says that incoming CEO Alex Baldock's successful track record could create investor buzz if the company decided to pursue a listing. Baldock, a former CEO of electrical retail chain Currys, was appointed Boots CEO in May and will take up the role in the fall. "A Boots IPO would be a much-needed boost for the London market," Mould adds, noting recent high-profile departures from the London bourse. (ian.walker@wsj.com)
