Hadron Energy (HDRN) said Tuesday that the US Patent and Trademark Office has published its first patent application.
The application, "Micro Integral Nuclear Reactor," is a foundational technical disclosure behind Hadron's Halo Micro-Modular Reactor, the company said.
Halo integrates a reactor core, steam generator, pressurizer, and primary coolant system in a single transportable unit, the company said.
"This first publication puts the engineering foundation of the Halo MMR on the public record and opens what we intend to be a deep intellectual property portfolio," said Samuel Gibson, Founder and CEO of Hadron.
Hadron shares were more than 5% higher in premarket trading.
