Alcoa on Monday said it has ratified a new labor agreement with the United Steelworks, covering nearly 1,000 employees across two of its U.S. smelters.

The agreement was validated by a large margin, the aluminum producer said Monday.

It will remain effective through May 15, 2030, covering workers at Warrick Operations in Indiana as well as Massena Operations in New York.

"We are pleased to have reached this outcome and appreciate the efforts of everyone involved in the negotiation and ratification process," the company said.
