Humana Divests Minority Stake in Gentiva

Humana (HUM) said late Wednesday it agreed with a consortium of investors to sell all of its minority interest in hospice and palliative care services provider Gentiva.

Humana's stake was valued at $900 million, according to a statement.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, the company said.

The deal is expected to be completed in Q3, subject to closing conditions, it added.
