Friedman Industries shares notched an all-time high Friday, after the company logged a jump in fiscal fourth-quarter profit and sales.
Shares of the pipe-manufacturing company rose 33% to $34.99 and earlier hit an all-time high of $36.26. The company's shares are up more than 70% year to date.
The company posted quarterly net income of $9.22 million, or $1.30 a share, up from $5.35 million, or 76 cents a share the year prior.
Sales grew 48% to $191.8 million, compared with $129.2 million in the same quarter a year earlier. The company attributed the rise to increased sales volume.
For the coming fiscal year, Friedman said it expects higher sales margins due to increases in sales prices in the first quarter.
