Fevertree Sparkles in a Dull U.S. Market -- Market Talk

0724 GMT - A partnership with Fevertree is a bright spot for Molson Coors in a tough domestic beer market, Jefferies's Edward Mundy writes in a note to clients. Molson Coors, maker of labels Miller High Life, Coors Light and Carling, last year sealed a deal to distribute Fevertree's range of tonics and mixers in the U.S. "Distributors are upbeat about the prospects for Fever, with the brand a bright spot in an otherwise challenged domestic, mainstream beer portfolio," Mundy says, citing a Jefferies survey of wholesalers. U.K.-based Fevertree is meanwhile poised for faster sales growth and a boost to its bottom line, he says. Molson Coors shares closed at $40.93. (joshua.kirby@wsj.com; @joshualeokirby)
