Pfizer's Braftovi Regimen Cuts Risk of Progression, Death in Phase 3 Trial in Colorectal Cancer

Pfizer's (PFE) Braftovi combination regimen cut the risk of disease progression or death by 56% versus traditional chemotherapy in the cohort 3 analysis of a phase 3 trial in metastatic colorectal cancer, the company said on Sunday.
Updated results also showed a 44% reduction in the risk of death, with 72% of patients on the Braftovi regimen alive at 18 months. Median overall survival was not reached for the Braftovi arm, Pfizer said.
The company previously reported that cohort 3 of the trial met its primary endpoint of objective response rate.
