Two former Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) staffers have launched Special, a company that plans to acquire businesses and use artificial intelligence to cut costs and automate operations, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday.

The venture, founded by Nate Cavanaugh and Justin Fox, has secured funding from Musk allies including Antonio Gracias, Anthony Armstrong, and Steve Davis, with Andreessen Horowitz leading the round.

Special has agreed to acquire a Texas healthcare company as the foundation of a new unit focused on aging populations and plans to expand into other sectors.
