Dollar General's Fiscal Q1 Earnings, Net Sales Rise

Dollar General (DG) reported fiscal Q1 earnings Tuesday of $2.00 per diluted share, up from $1.78 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.88.

Net sales for the quarter ended May 1 were $10.79 billion, up from $10.44 billion a year earlier. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $10.81 billion.

The company now expects fiscal 2026 diluted EPS of $7.20 to $7.45, compared with the prior range of $7.10 to $7.35. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $7.24.

The company continues to expect fiscal 2026 net sales growth at 3.7% to 4.2%. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $44.39 billion in revenue.

Shares of Dollar General were up over 5% in Tuesday pre-bell activity.
