Solidion Technology Introduces Extreme-Climate Battery Technology for Space Applications

Solidion Technology (STI) said Thursday it has introduced a patented extreme-climate battery platform designed for space operations, artificial intelligence data centers in low Earth orbit, and lunar infrastructure.
The power storage system is based on graphene to actively manage cell temperatures, allowing the hardware to operate between -80 and 80 degrees Celsius.
The company is also developing solid-state lithium-ion and lithium-sulfur batteries with non-flammable materials to provide higher energy-to-weight ratios for crewed spaceflights.
The battery hardware surpassed 500 charge cycles at -40 Celsius during testing to support long-term lunar surface power grids and exploration rovers, it added.
