Endeavour Needs to Show Evidence of Strategy Delivery -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
May 29

0106 GMT - Morgans analyst Alexander Lu is waiting on evidence that Endeavour Group's management is delivering on strategy before reassessing his view of the Australian alcohol and hospitality group. Maintaining a hold rating on the stock, Lu tells clients in a note that the revenue and cost opportunities flagged by executives require accelerated investment and are expected to keep balance-sheet leverage elevated through its 2027 fiscal year. He thinks that Endeavour is fundamentally a good business but warns that the sales environment remains soft, with a recovery appearing some way off given the potential for further interest-rate rises. Morgans cuts its target price 15% to A$2.80. Shares are up 0.9% at A$2.885. (stuart.condie@wsj.com)
