United Airlines (UAL) does not expect to pursue mergers for the foreseeable future, Reuters reported Thursday, citing Chief Executive Officer Scott Kirby.
American Airlines (AAL) CEO Robert Isom rejected a combination as anti-competitive, while the United chief dismissed speculation about smaller deals, the report said.
Shares of United Airlines and American Airlines were down 1.4% in Thursday premarket activity.
