Tokyo Electron (TYO:8035) unit will not file an appeal in the trade secrets case involving Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, TSMC (TPE:2330), as it respects the judicial process, the company told Reuters in a written statement on Thursday.
In April, a Taiwanese court fined the Japan-based company's local unit NT$150 million over allegations linked to confidential technology tied to TSMC's advanced chip processes.
