Brady Posts Record Quarterly Earnings, Raises Guidance

Brady Corp. reported higher fiscal-third quarter profit and raised its earnings outlook.

"Our investment in research & development resulted in strong organic sales growth globally, along with a record quarter of adjusted earnings per share," said Chief Executive Russell Shaller. "New product launches over the last several years as well as data center construction drove our sales growth, which is an end market that is ideal for our high-performance identification solutions."

The company posted net income of $57.8 million, or $1.21 a share, up from $52.3 million, or $1.09 a share, the year prior.

Adjusted earnings were $1.50 a share.

Net sales rose to $435.2 million from $382.6 million the year before.

The company raised its guidance for fiscal-year adjusted earnings to $5.20 to $5.30 a share, up from its previous forecast of $4.95 to $5.15 a share.
