TSMC Unit Buys Corporate Bonds Worth $77 Million

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TPE:2330) unit TSMC Global acquired corporate bonds with a combined value of about $77 million, according to a Monday Taiwan Exchange filing.

Shares slid over 1% in Tuesday's afternoon trade.

The purchases were made across six fixed-income securities between Jan. 21 and May 18.

The investment is for fixed-income purposes, the chipmaker said.
