Temple & Webster Bulls See Compelling Value -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
May 18

0320 GMT - Temple & Webster's bulls at Morgan Stanley see its valuation becoming increasingly compelling relative to peers. The MS analysts tell clients in a note that the online furniture retailer is trading at three-year lows against the backdrop of a challenging operating environment. However, they point out that management has demonstrated cost flexibility and is likely to reinvest in growth and customer acquisition once conditions start to improve. Temple & Webster's asset-light model, growing market position and strong execution should eventually mean that revenue reaccelerates and the stock rerates, they add. MS cuts its target price 67% to A$8.00 and stays overweight on the stock, which is down 2.3% at A$4.75. (stuart.condie@wsj.com)
