SMC's Fiscal-Year Profit Climbs 7%

SMC's (TYO:6273) profit attributable to owners of the parent rose 7% to 167.3 billion yen for the fiscal year ended March 31 from 156.3 billion yen a year earlier.

The pneumatic control device maker's basic earnings per share increased to 2,640.04 yen from 2,444.61 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Thursday.

Net sales increased by 6.4% to 842.5 billion yen from 792.1 billion yen in the prior year.

It declared a final dividend of 500 yen per share, payable from June 29.

For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company expects an attributable profit of 170 billion yen, basic EPS of 2,692.46, and net sales of 1 trillion yen.

SMC plans to pay interim and year-end dividends of 500 yen per share each for the year, totaling 1,000.00 yen per share, which is similar to the amount paid in the year-ago period.
