Barton Gold Holdings (ASX:BGD) said an ongoing definitive feasibility study has confirmed that the Central Gawler Mill adjacent to its South Australian Challenger gold project is suitable for recommissioning, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The analysis also indicates that the reprocessing of historical tailings storage facility 1 materials is technically feasible and operationally practical, per the filing.

The company said it is continuing with various programs to assess the processing of fresh mineralization expected to be sourced from existing and planned open pits at the Challenger project, with all programs on track for a planned mineral resources upgrade in the third quarter.
