Trump Media & Technology Group posted a significantly wider loss for the first quarter.

The company, which was founded by President Trump and operates the Truth Social platform, on Friday said that in the first quarter it lost $405.9 million, compared with a loss of $31.7 million a year earlier.

Trump Media attributed $368.7 million of that loss to non-cash losses including unrealized losses on digital assets, digital assets pledged, and equity securities.

Revenue was $900,000, compared with $821,000 in the same period a year earlier. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization came in at a loss of $387.8 million, compared with a loss of $19.9 million a year ago.

The company said it ended the year with $2.1 billion in cash, cash equivalents and short term investments.

Trump Media is moving forward on its proposed merger with TAE Technologies, interim Chief Executive Kevin McGurn said. If a deal is completed the combined company would be focused on constructing a utility-scale fusion power plant. The transaction is expected to close in mid-2026.

The company said its Truth Social platform is developing and testing new features, including discussion and share features for predictions contracts, provided in cooperation with Crypto.com.
