Maritana Minerals (ASX:MRT) has agreed to acquire 100% of strategic gold and nickel exploration tenements from Nano Metals in Western Australia's Goldfields, expanding its landholding adjacent to the Black Swan processing hub, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

The total consideration consists of AU$345,000 in cash and 509,259 restricted company shares at a deemed issue price of AU$1.08 per share, per the filing.

The acquisition adds 83.5 square kilometers of ground to the company's portfolio, including E27/630, immediately north of the Black Swan facility and along strike of the highly prospective Wilsons gold prospect, with strong potential for mineralization and future infrastructure expansion, the filing said.

Completion is expected in the June quarter, subject to regulatory and customary approvals, the filing added.

The company's shares fell 1% in recent Monday trade.
