Trek Metals (ASX:TKM) said its Archer X subsidiary won co-funding of up to AU$188,000 for two exploration programs under a Western Australia government incentive for manganese and gold exploration at the Christmas Creek project, located in the state's Kimberley region, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

A ground gravity survey will initially extend the coverage around high-grade manganese surface mineralization discovered late in 2025 at the Kuro prospect, while a second sub-audio magnetics survey will define major structures controlling gold mineralization at the Martin prospect, per the filing.

The company is targeting the start of drilling at Kuro in mid to late May, subject to final heritage clearance and the construction of access tracks and drill pads. Geophysical surveying is also expected to begin within the month.
