Clorox's Outlook Cut More Drastic Than Expected -- Market Talk
Dow Jones

1134 ET - Clorox investors were braced for an outlook cut, but didn't expect to see guidance lowered so drastically, UBS analysts say. The consumer-goods company's cut of 40 cents a share for full-year earnings was seen as a big reduction to make in the third quarter of the fiscal year, the analysts say. Clorox also hasn't offered much in the way of commentary about fiscal 2027 and the analysts think the range of outcomes are quite wide. Investors have been waiting a long time to see organic sales improve, the investors say, and that delay is "the bigger concern" for Clorox. Shares fall 9.5%. (katherine.hamilton@wsj.com)
