Austal Awarded Around AU$136 Million Contract Extension for Construction of Two Patrol Boats for Australian Border Force

Austal (ASX:ASB) said Austal Ships was awarded a contract extension for the construction of two additional Evolved Cape-class patrol boats for the Australian Border Force, valued at around AU$136 million, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
This brings the total number of patrol boats contracted for delivery to the Australian Border Force to six.
The construction of the two new patrol boats will take place at Austal's Henderson shipyard in Western Australia.
Its shares fell 2% in recent trading on Monday.
