L.B. Foster shares rose after the company swung to a profit in its first quarter.
Shares of the rail and infrastructure solutions company rose 11% Monday to $34.19. The company's shares climbed to a five-year high of $34.98 Monday.
The company on Monday posted a profit of $1.5 million, or 14 cents a share, compared with a loss of $2.1 million, or 20 cents a share, a year earlier.
Sales rose to $121.1 million from $97.8 million a year earlier.
The company reaffirmed its fiscal guidance for 2026. It expects full-year sales of $540 million to $580 million. Analysts are expecting sales of $556.6 million.
