0416 GMT - Singapore Technologies Engineering's core earnings are likely to be supported by higher revenue, mainly due to its defense and public security segment, Nomura analysts say in a note. The technology, defense and engineering company recorded strong contract wins of 4.8 billion Singapore dollars in 1Q, which were led by the defense and public security segment. "The overall pace of the contract wins still looks strong," the analysts say. Nomura raises its 2026 and 2027 core earnings forecasts for ST Engineering by 12.3% and 7.2%, respectively. It also raises its target price for the stock to S$10.22 from S$8.90, while maintaining a neutral rating. Shares are 1.5% higher at S$10.80. (amanda.lee@wsj.com)
