Tamilnad Mercantile Bank's Net Profit Climbs in Fiscal Q4; Shares Up 12%

Tamilnad Mercantile Bank's (NSE:TMB, BOM:543596) net profit rose to 3.74 billion Indian rupees in the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 from 2.92 billion rupees a year ago.

Earnings per share came in at 23.60 rupees from 18.44 rupees a year earlier, according to a Monday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.

Interest earned by the lender in fiscal Q4 also increased to 15.5 billion rupees from 13.4 billion rupees a year ago.

The board recommended a final dividend of 12.50 rupees per equity share of the face value of 10 rupees each for fiscal 2026 ended March 31.

The bank's shares jumped over 12% in recent trade.
