AI Concerns Likely to Delay Material Re-Rating of AUB Group -- Market Talk

2322 GMT - Artificial intelligence is likely to augment and reshape insurance brokers for small-to-medium sized enterprises, rather than replace them. That is Citi's contention as it starts coverage of AUB Group with a neutral call and a A$27.30/share price target. Why is it not more bullish when AUB's stock is trading near record lows compared to history and the market? The reason, again, is AI. "AI is rapidly changing and it will likely take time to alleviate investors' concerns, thus delaying a potential material re-rating of AUB," analyst Jeff Cai says. Citi prefers Steadfast among Australian insurance brokers. AUB ended last week at A$25.66. (david.winning@wsj.com; @dwinningWSJ)
