Badger Meter Q1 Earnings, Revenue Fall, Announces UDlive Acquisition; Shares Fall Pre-Market

Badger Meter (BMI) reported Q1 earnings Friday of $0.93 per diluted share, down from $1.30 a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $1.22.

Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was $202.3 million, down from $222.2 million a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $229.6 million.

The company said it has agreed to acquire UK-based UDlive for $100 million plus contingent payments, boosting its sewer monitoring business. The acquisition, expected to close by the end of April 2026, will be funded with cash on hand.

Shares of the company were down 16.6% in Friday premarket activity.
