0427 GMT - Malaysia's renewable energy sector is expected to benefit from Middle East supply disruptions, Affin Hwang IB analyst Afif Zulkaplly says in a note. The disruption has exposed Malaysia's energy security vulnerabilities, with renewable energy solutions seen well positioned to address the problem. "The sector could benefit from more aggressive no-fuel renewable energy adoption policies going forward, as the government seeks to strengthen national energy security," the analyst says. Affin Hwang raises its rating for the sector to overweight from neutral, with buy calls on Solarvest and Samaiden.(amanda.lee@wsj.com)
