Viva Energy Group Shares Fall After Securing Federal Environment Approval for Victoria Gas Terminal

Viva Energy Group (ASX:VEA) shares fell 1% in afternoon trade on Friday after its proposed Geelong liquefied natural gas terminal in Victoria received approval under the Federal Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act on April 1.

The clearance allows the gas terminal to proceed, subject to conditions, with acceptable environmental impacts, the energy company said in a statement on Thursday.
