Lotus Resources (ASX:LOT) said Orano Chimie-Enrichissement will accept uranium ore concentrate from its Kayelekera uranium project in Malawi at the Orano conversion facility in Malvesi, France, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

The company will provide independent laboratory testing results as a condition for initial shipments to Orano, the filing said. Orano is also currently reviewing the acceptance of material produced during the commissioning phase in the December 2025 quarter.

Lotus remains on track to deliver nameplate production at Kayelekera in the second quarter, per the filing.

Lotus is working with the Alistair Group and freight forwarder, Orano NPS, to start exporting via Walvis Bay in Namibia due to the impact of global events on shipping logistics and on the availability of shipping from Dar-es-Salaam in Tanzania to the trans-shipment hub in Singapore.

The company's shares jumped past 7% in recent Wednesday trade.
