St Barbara Confirms Receipt of AU$389 Million Investment for Papua New Guinea Project

St Barbara (ASX:SBM) confirmed the receipt of AU$389 million with the completion of Lingbao Gold Group's strategic investment in the new Simberi gold project in Papua New Guinea, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The total amount includes AU$370 million, along with an adjustment of AU$19 million for working capital and cash holdings, the filing said.

The company and Lingbao Gold Group approved the final investment decision to proceed with the $333 million construction of the project, per the filing.
