Advanced Innergy Holdings (ASX:AIH) confirmed in response to a letter from the Australian Securities Exchange that it was not the source of any information to the media regarding an article stating that the company would make an all-cash bid for Matrix Composites & Engineering (ASX:MCE) after the market closes on Monday, and that it had no knowledge of the source of information, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

The company submitted a non-binding and indicative proposal to acquire all of the shares in Matrix for AU$0.40 cash per share via a scheme of arrangement.

Advanced Innergy added that it was informed by its financial adviser, Henslow, that it was not the source of any information to the media that appeared in the article.
