Avita Medical (ASX:AVH) said it has filed a shelf registration statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), allowing it to offer and sell up to $200 million in aggregate of common stock, preferred stock, warrants, or units in one or more offerings over time, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The company said filing a shelf registration statement is common practice for US public companies registered with the US SEC, with statements expiring after three years, requiring companies to file a new statement every three years.
Avita Medical said it currently has no plans to offer securities covered by the shelf registration statement, and it is possible that no securities will be offered or sold through it.
The company's shares rose almost 3% in recent Wednesday trade.
