Actinogen Medical Begins Open-Label Extension Phase of Alzheimer's Disease Trial

Actinogen Medical (ASX:ACW) began the open-label extension phase of the XanaMIA phase 2b/3 Alzheimer's disease trial with the treatment of the first trial participant, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The open-label phase consists of up to 25 months of treatment, during which all participants will receive 10 milligrams of the active Xanamem drug candidate once daily, with no placebo control group.
The phase will generate longer-term safety and observational data on efficacy endpoints, including the Clinical Dementia Rating Scale Sum of Boxes, cognition, and activities of daily living.
