PVH posted higher revenue in the fourth quarter and expects sales to grow in the new fiscal year.
The owner of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger on Tuesday posted a loss of $158.3 million, or $3.46 a share, in the quarter ended in February, compared with a profit of $157.2 million, or $2.83 a share, a year earlier.
Stripping out certain one-time items, adjusted per-share earnings were $3.82, ahead of the $3.31 anticipated by analysts, according to FactSet.
Revenue rose 6% to $2.51 billion. Analysts surveyed by FactSet forecast revenue of $2.43 billion.
In the current fiscal year, PVH expects revenue to increase slightly from the prior year. It projects adjusted earnings per share will be $11.80 to $12.10, which would be ahead of the $10.91 a share analysts are estimating.
