Datang International Power's Profit Jumps 66% in 2025; Shares Slip 7%

Datang International Power Generation's (HKG:0991, SHA:601991) net profit attributable to equity holders of the company rose 66% to 7.54 billion yuan for 2025, from 4.54 billion yuan a year earlier, according to a March 27 Hong Kong bourse filing.
The Chinese power company's Hong Kong shares dropped nearly 7% in Monday's late-morning trade.
Earnings per share came in at 0.3237 yuan, compared with 0.1646 yuan a year earlier.
Operating revenue fell 1.8% to 121.3 billion yuan from 123.5 billion yuan in 2024.
The board proposed a final dividend of 0.0930 yuan per share, bringing the total dividend for the year to 0.148 yuan per share, subject to shareholder approval.
