Northern Star Resources Shares Rise Even as Gold Price Declines

Northern Star Resources' (ASX:NST) shares rose over 4% in recent trading on Monday, even as gold declined in the wake of the intensifying conflict in the Middle East.
Spot gold fell 0.9% to $4,454.67 per ounce as the Houthis in Yemen entered the conflict in the Middle East, the US moved military personnel into the region, and Iran struck aluminium smelters in Bahrain and the UAE.
Shares of Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN) inched up 0.1% while those of Newmont (ASX:NEM) rose nearly 1%.
