Paradigm Biopharmaceuticals Hits 50% Enrollment in Phase 3 Osteoarthritis Trial; Shares Up 4%

Paradigm Biopharmaceuticals (ASX:PAR) achieved 50% enrollment in a phase 3 clinical trial of injectable pentosan polysulfate sodium for the potential treatment of osteoarthritis, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The company said it has started dosing of the final participants required for inclusion in the interim analysis, with those results expected in August.

The study's primary endpoint is the change in weekly average of daily pain at day 112, while secondary endpoints include improvements in physical function, imaging-based structural outcomes, and safety assessments.

The company's shares gained nearly 4% in recent Tuesday trading.
