Shares of PMGC Holdings climbed after its NorthStrive Biosciences subsidiary amended a license agreement to allow for an expedited clinical development process.
The stock gained 87% to $3.13 in after-hours trading Friday. The shares touched a three-year low $1.62 in market trading before closing down 11% at $1.67.
NorthStrive amended its agreement with MOA Life Plus, a Korean biotechnology company, for the human clinical development programs EL-32 and EL-22.
The amendment allows NorthStrive to potentially skip a Phase 1 clinical trial in the program before moving on to a Phase 2 trial.
NorthStrive would be excused from satisfying its development milestone for Phase 1, as long as it provided MOA written documentation showing scientific support for a Phase 2 trial.
