Channel Infrastructure NZ (NZE:CHI, ASX:CHI) said it has identified "very preliminary" options to "significantly" expand diesel storage capacity at its Marsden Point terminal in Northland, according to a Wednesday filing with the New Zealand and Australian bourses.

The company currently has around 300 million liters of active storage, with an additional 350 million liters potentially available for conversion, the company said in the filing in response to recent media reports.

The company confirmed that operations at Marsden Point are continuing normally despite global supply disruptions related to the Middle East conflict.

The company's Kiwi shares rose around 1% in recent Wednesday trade.
