Shares of Yancoal Australia (ASX:YAL) reached an all-time peak, jumping over 7% on Thursday after Qatar's QatarEnergy said the Ras Laffan Industrial City had suffered "extensive damage" after an Iranian attack.
Whitehaven Coal's (ASX:WHC) shares rose 5%, while New Hope (ASX:NHC) shares rose 3%, reaching a two-year peak.
Iran attacked several energy facilities across the Middle East, following a strike on its South Pars gas field.
