Diatreme Resources Completes Metallurgical Test Work for Western Australia Project

Diatreme Resources (ASX:DRX) completed metallurgical test work for its Cyclone project in Western Australia, with results showing improvements in processing performance and product recovery, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

Program results confirmed increases in forecasted life-of-mine output, with heavy mineral concentrate production up 58% to 3.2 million tonnes, zircon production up 6.8% to 865,775 tonnes, and titanium concentrate production up nearly 96% to 1.6 million tonnes, the filing said.

A study conducted in 2016 indicated 2 million tonnes of heavy mineral concentrate production; 810,371 tonnes of zircon production; and 834,838 tonnes of titanium concentrate production, per the filing.
