Jean Faces Temporary System Downtime After Cyberattack; Shares Rise 5%

Jean (TPE:2442) reported a cyberattack on its information systems on Friday, leading to a temporary system downtime, according to a Friday Taiwan Exchange filing.

Shares of the company rose 5% in Monday's afternoon trade.

Jean manufactures and markets color display tubes (CDT) and liquid crystal display (LCD) monitors, as well as projectors

The company's security team immediately activated defense and recovery measures, and external cybersecurity experts have been engaged to assist, the company said.

The current assessments show no material impact on operations or finances, Jean added.

Jean is conducting a full review of its systems and strengthening security to prevent future incidents, the filing said.
